Sharing Jesus With Others

Tell someone about your decision to follow Jesus Today!

There are many ways in which you can be a witness for Jesus, and telling someone that you decided to follow Jesus is one.

The apostle Peter said we have been called to be His witnesses throughout the world, and the apostle Paul said we are His ambassadors.

Everywhere we go we should try to share Jesus with others, and should conduct ourselves in a way that gives God a good name.

14 “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.15 Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.- Matthew 5:14-16

And remember as you go, that we Christ followers should be willing to be kind, love, and forgive, even those who have done us wrong.

43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ 44 But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, 45 that you may be sons of your Father in heaven - Matthew 5:43-45

OUR METHOD

In Word

There are many ways in which you can be a witness for Jesus. The apostle Peter said we have been called to be His witnesses throughout the world, and the apostle Paul said we are His ambassadors.

Everywhere we go we should talk of our wonderful God and Savior.

The Bible tells us the Psalmist David was a man after God's own heart, and he penned these words:

34 I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.
2 My soul shall make its boast in the Lord; The humble shall hear of it and be glad.
3 Oh, magnify the Lord with me, And let us exalt His name together. - Pslams 34:1-3

8 But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach): 9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

14 How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher [i.e, one who proclaims the good news]? 15 And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written:

“How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace,
Who bring glad tidings of good things!” - Romans 10:8-10, 14-15

Christ followers need to help spread the good news of new life and eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

The world around us is watching us, and those of us that follow Jesus have a great opportunity to show the world what the love of God looks like, Both in the way that Jesus conquered sin and death for us, and in the way we love as Christ loves.

10 Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren [i.e., Satan], who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down. 11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony - Revelation 12:10-11

23 And this is His commandment: that we should believe on the name of His Son Jesus Christ and love one another, as He gave us commandment. - 1 John 3:23

The world around us is watching us, and those of us that follow Jesus have a great opportunity to show the world what the love of God looks like, Both in the way that Jesus conquered sin and death for us, and in the way we love as Christ loves.

34 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. 35 By this all will know that you are My disciples [i.e., followers], if you have love for one another.” - John 13:34-35
